Closing the Deal: Business students step into the boardroom at Linklaters

11th graders, through our Futures Ignite partner, had an incredible experience visiting Linklaters Law Firm. They explored a wide range of career paths, different areas of law, as well as roles beyond legal practice, including marketing and human resources. They also gained valuable insight into the soft skills needed to be successful as they determine their post secondary futures. Fortune 500, here we come!

WHEELS Students at the 2026 NYC CS Fair!

Ms. Kumar's Computer Science classes attend the New York City Computer Science Fair at the Armory. Students get to explore colleges and careers that are looking for their newly developed computer science skills and what new tech is coming down the pipeline. At WHEELS we are always connecting the classroom to the real world.

Looking Ahead

As the weather starts to warm up, we look ahead to our upcoming expeditions with Camping to Connect in May and June. We're grateful for their dedication to our young men, for giving them a safe space to grow, learn, share, and experience the wonder of the outdoors.

23 NYC Precollege Acceptances!

A huge congratulations to our 6 rising 11th-graders and 17 rising 12th-graders who will be taking Business, Econmics, and IT courses for college credit via NYU's Precollege program. Check out more information about the program here.

Celebration of Learning

Team 2 hosted families for their culminating event where students shared their narrative writing pieces and took the roles of paleontologists to demonstrate a dig and how fossils can teach us about the past.

Mock Trial

Wednesday marked a long-standing WHEELS academic tradition, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Mock Trial. In this strong example of meaningful work (a local topic that emulates the work of a profession), students take on the roles of lawyers and witnesses to attempt to win their case. The case brings authentic effort from students (students diligently working in the cafeteria during lunch to perfect their arguments), and the stakes of the trial are never clearer than when you see the joy of the winning team when the verdict is announced!
